Worship is at the heart of our church life. We offer a variety of services – traditional and more contemporary. We warmly invite you to join us. Don’t worry if you aren’t familiar with worship – someone will be happy to help you follow the service book.
Sunday Services at Wentworth
Our Sunday morning service is at 10.45 and most weeks we use the traditional liturgy (words) of the Book of Common Prayer.
However, on the second Sunday of each month we have an All-Age service that uses more modern liturgy. The singing at our Sunday morning services is led by a robed choir.
The normal pattern of services is as follows:
- 1st, 3rd and 4th Sunday – Holy Communion
- 2nd Sunday – All Age Worship
- 5th Sunday – Morning Prayer or Matins.
Refreshments are served after each service.

Tuesday Mornings at Wentworth
Our Tuesday service of Morning Prayer is at 10.30 am. Lasting about half an hour, this is a more informal and contemporary service and includes a Bible reflection and discussion. The service is popular with visitors and walkers, and dogs are welcome to stay!
After the service we get together for coffee and sandwiches.
Sundays at Harley Mission
Sunday worship at Harley takes place on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month at 9.30 am and is usually a service of Holy Communion. This is an intimate service “in the round” and we use contemporary liturgy from Common Worship.
The service is followed by tea, coffee and homemade cake.

Messy Church at Harley Mission
Messy Church is for children, families and the young at heart. Normally held on the 2nd Sunday of the month at 4pm, these fun and interactive services include a Bible story, crafts and songs. Children must be accompanied, and parents are encouraged to join in. We end by having a meal together.
