Holy Trinity is a very popular venue for a Christian marriage ceremony

If you live within the Parish of Wentworth, (including Harley, Hoober or Nether Haugh) or worship there then you are very welcome to be married here.  Please note: for legal reasons marriages cannot be celebrated at Harley Church.

but also if just one of these applies:

  • one of you was baptised or prepared for confirmation in the parish;
  • one of you has ever lived in the parish for six months or more;
  • one of you has at any time regularly attended public worship in the parish for six months or more;
  • one of your parents has lived in the parish for six months or more in their child’s lifetime;
  • one of your parents has regularly attended public worship there for six months or more
    in their child’s lifetime;
  • your parents or grandparents were married in the parish.

In church you are making your vows not only in front of your family and friends but before
God.

When you are ready to book your wedding please phone one of our churchwardens, Jim Gelder, on 01226 749484. A £50 non-returnable deposit will be required. Once you have booked, someone will get in touch with you to arrange a meeting.

Blessing Service – After Civil Marriage or renewal of vows

You may be marrying abroad and yet want an opportunity for your friends and wider family
to share in your joy.

You may have married some years ago in a Registry Office and feel you would like to ask for
God’s Blessing on your marriage and also renew your marriage vows to one another.

You may be divorced, remarrying in a Registry Office and feel you would like to ask for
God’s Blessing in your new life together.
The Blessing Service is similar to a wedding except that the couple enter church together arm
in arm. Bookings also need to be made as above via Jim Gelder.
