Donaghadee Male Voice Choir

Come to hear a variety of music from this famous traditional choir in the wonderful acoustic and the splendid surroundings of the Neo-Gothic Church in Wentworth.

Refreshments will be served during the interval. The Internationally renowned Donaghadee Male Voice Choir from County Down will be presenting an evening of choral music. This choir has been associated with South Yorkshire choirs since a chance meeting between their conductor and the conductor of Retford Male Voice choir at Ilkley Music Festival some 35 years ago.

Thurnscoe Harmonic MVC went over to County Down, and the relationship between this choir and our local choirs has flourished since then. The Choir came to Wentworth in 2010 and 2014 to a wonderful reception and we are privileged to be able to host them once again.

Tonight, the Irish choir has invited the Barnburgh Village Ladies Choir to share the stage with them, so there will be feast of music involving single and mixed choirs. there will also be performances from the Thurnscoe Harmonic Male Voice Choir. There will also be performances by two soloists from the Barnburgh Village Singers, ladies' choir.'

Tickets cost £7 (£6 for concessions)
